Punta Cardón Terminal

Cardón refinery terminal. Medium and heavy crude operations at Paraguaná refinery complex.

Punta Cardón is the maritime terminal of Cardón Refinery, the second processing facility of the Paraguaná Refinery Complex. Although of smaller capacity than Amuay, Cardón is fundamental for processing local crudes from Venezuela's western region and for producing specialized derivatives. The terminal has facilities to receive Aframax and Suezmax tanker vessels.

Punta Cardón terminal complements Amuay's operations by providing additional loading and unloading capacity, as well as operational flexibility for handling different crude grades. The facilities include state-of-the-art loading systems, onshore storage, and connections to Cardón Refinery that processes approximately 300,000 barrels of crude daily. Punta Cardón's location allows coordinated operations with Amuay to optimize the export logistics of the refinery complex.
