Amuay Terminal

Amuay refinery terminal. One of the largest crude oil terminals in Venezuela.

Amuay Terminal is the main port facility of the Paraguaná Refinery Complex and one of Venezuela's largest crude oil terminals. With capacity to receive VLCC (Very Large Crude Carriers) supertankers of up to 300,000 gross tons and drafts of up to 22 meters, Amuay is the deepest terminal in the country's western region.

The terminal features multiple loading systems, extensive onshore storage facilities, and the necessary infrastructure to process large volumes of both local and imported crude. Amuay receives crudes from various sources that are processed at the adjacent refinery and also exports refined derivatives. The port system includes facilities for bunkering, minor repairs, and attention to service vessels operating in the area.
