Puerto Cabello

Puerto Cabello is Venezuela's second most important port and one of the most active in the Caribbean. Located in Carabobo State, this multimodal port combines oil, chemical, petrochemical, and general cargo terminals in a single port complex. El Palito refinery, connected to the port, processes medium crudes and produces derivatives that are exported through the different specialized terminals.

The port facilities at Puerto Cabello include El Palito Terminal (crude and products), Pequiven (petrochemicals), Ocamar (containers), Terquimca (chemicals), Vopak (storage), and Bolipuertos facilities. This diversity allows serving everything from VLCC supertankers to container ships and bulk carriers, with a total capacity exceeding 30 million tons annually. The port features rail services connecting to the central region of the country and the Valencia industrial corridor.
